The OMB Srl under the patronage of Alma Mater University of Bologna - School of Engineering and Architecture - Department of Architecture, is launching a competition for the design of supports TV wall and countertop. The goal is to put into production the best ideas.
With the competition of ideas means to identify innovative concepts for the design and construction of prototypes regarding the types of products manufactured by the company banditrice, with the aim of putting into production the best ideas selected through tender. Proposals should address the design of one or more products.
The solutions submitted must be original and unpublished and must take into account not only the compliance to specific functionality, compliance with current regulations on safety, respect for ergonomic requirements and attention to environmental requirements and sustainable design.
In the first phase we will select the three best projects which will continue with the next phases of the project and the finished product.
Recipients
Participation is open to Italian or foreign students enrolled at the School of Engineering and Architecture of the 'University of Bologna and the graduates of the same school, without prior registration with professional bodies, who are under thirty years of age at the date of delivery the papers.
They can also participate in Italian and foreign students enrolled at other schools or faculty of other universities, provided they have completed the thirty years of age at the date of delivery of the documents and participate in team with a student or recent graduate from the School of Engineering and Architecture of ' University of Bologna with the above characteristics.
It also allowed the participation of teams of designers, but it has to be appointed a group leader who will be solely responsible and contact person towards the organizing body.
Awards
The jury will nominate 3 winning projects. For each winning project will receive a prize of € 500, the committee can decide to allocate any special mentions, unpaid, to projects that are characterized by specific aspects of the project.
The authors of the three winning projects will be hosted by the sponsoring company to spend the two-day business visit on a date fixed after the awards ceremony. The three winning projects will be developed with the company and will be put into production.
Royalty
The signatories of the winning proposals will sign, since the selection, a contract under which the authors themselves:
- Acquire the right to receive compensation in the form variable (royalty) for a period not exceeding five years, the total turnover generated by each product made on the basis of the project.
- Cede to the sponsoring company all rights to the projects and presented while retaining the right to a royalty if these projects should also be implemented later.
