The common standard 3D sponsored by Panasonic, Samsung, Sony and XpanD is now reality and the consortium "Full HD 3D Glasses Initiative" is ready to issue licenses for all producers who want to join the 3D standard that ensures interoperability between various brands.
The first announcement for the definition of a common standard was released in late August (see news) and the consortium had declared its intention to reach a common standard by year end. Promise kept, and we know now that the standard "Full HD 3D Glasses" involves the use of interoperable 3D active glasses synchronization with both IR to Bluetooth radio frequencies.
In addition to the four main producers founders of the initiative, we already know that other major groups have decided to support the standard: Changhong, Funai, Hisense, Hitachi, Mitsubishi, Philips, Seiko Epson, Sharp, SIM2 Multimedia, TCL, Toshiba and ViewSonic
All brand joining the standard (paying royalties license) may affix the logo "Full HD 3D Glasses" on their products, thus certifying the operation with other TVs, projectors, monitors and PC on active 3D glasses. Ends up 'the era of 3D glasses tied to the individual producer (finally!).
